  • Few Smartphone Predictions for New Year 2014

Few Smartphone Predictions for New Year 2014

Last year we witnessed a large number of mobile technologies including high resolution 1080P displays, quard core processors, professional DSLR etc. So, what in store for the 2014? Here are some five predicitions for smartphone technology that might turn out to be true in 2014:

    1. Curved Screen

In the end of 2013 we heard a lot on curved OLED display for many smart devices, where Samsung’s Galaxy Round and LG’s G Flex introduced how it would look and work, yet each company trails a new form factor in their home nation of Korea but in 2014 mostly will push curved screen devices in western countries too. However, its unclear what the advantage would curved display will carry than that of flat display.samsung-5-inch-curved-youm-prototype

    2. Shift to 64-Bit

As we all know Apple has indroduced us to Apple A7 SoC, used in newly released Iphone 5s, iPad mini and iPad Air. It was also the first ARM chip introduced to consumer devices with 64-bit address and as the news spread, companies such as Qualcomm and Samsung rapidly blench into action, revealing their next SoC’s would be 64-bit capable and based on ARMv8-A structure. However, few of like the Snapdragn 410 are proved not to be a high-end chip, where Cortex-A53 is the succesor to that of Cortex-A7 that means It won’t be as powerful as Cortex-A15 or other ARM CPU cores, However, it is scheduled for release in second half of 2014 for smartphones

    3. Display Beyond 1080p

We witnessed amazing screen displays with 1080p resolution but can you think beyond? Well many people said 720p to 1080p was a benifit. However, progessing higher to 1920×1080 seems to have lesser benifits as 1080p already look like paper. In spite of this fact, companies like Samsung and LG are looking ahead for 2560×1440 display and in 2014 we’re likely to see few handsets with this feature.

    4. More Operating Systems

Although android has occupied a major chunk of the mobile OS, same will carry in 2014 but likely there would be more to add-up with the launch of few more operating systems with something different, or promising to change the way we use mobile devices. However, many of them will be Linux variants and would be targeting low-end devices which yet to be exploited. Some like Firefox OS, Sailfish OS, BlackBerry 10, Ubuntu Touch, Tizen and many others we have heard in 2013. But still Android, iOS and Windows phone will remain the big dogs for time to come however, they too will keep on bringing some innovation in their devices to give good competition to their competitors.

CES 2014: Mozilla Premiers Firefox OS Tablet Developer Program

    5. Cheaper Is Better

All the companies have tried their best to offer decent hardware at a low price and the Google Nexus 5 was up with fantastic display for just $350, and the Nexus 7 also proved once again thta 7-inch tablet can be cheaper and same did the Moto G. Well, let’s not forget the Windows phone either, where Nokia’s Lumia 520 was tagged with one of the bestselling smartphones of the year. However, same in 2014 Google’s camp will continue with the cheap Nexus devices as they have much more to offer with the new Android 4.4 KitKat too.

  • Most Anticipated Games of 2014 you can’t miss !

Most Anticipated Games of 2014 you can’t miss !

watch-dogs-20142013 is a pretty good year intended for games. Consoles from Sony and also Microsoft are released, PC video gaming is healthier than previously, and important publishers have got announced a number of interesting new game franchises to get rid of the creation. That explained, 2014 need to be a good one, with a lot to look forward to. It’s going to become year packed with big releases, if many of us don’t observe any important delays. Whilst it was certainly difficult to whittle the idea down, here’s our top most anticipated games of 2014.

    Tom Clancy’s The Division

    Release date: Q2 2014

The United States has suffered catastrophic collapse after the spread of an uncontrollable disease, leaving a group of government sleeper agents – codenamed “the Division” – to come in and save what remains. Their job: to save survivors and combat gangs and other rogue elements. It’s an intriguing premise with tremendously ambitious gameplay that seeks to combine role-playing and third-person tactical shooters with massive online multiplayer. If developer Ubisoft Massive can pull it off, it will add another big franchise to Ubisoft’s already impressive stable. Massive’s E3 demo was a thing of beauty.

    Watch Dogs

    Release Date: Spring 2014/Q2

Watch dogs is actually one of each of our almost all anticipated online games for many motives. It’s already been in radar pertaining to 18 months right now, from the time we saw in addition to seemed to be impressed by its E3 demonstration within 2012. It’s consequently at the top of our own checklist because it’s already been delayed. It had been to get this the queen’s treasure of own Next Gen lineup, but instead we need to wait around another some several weeks.

    Titanfall

    Release date: March 11,2014

Thought-provoking puzzles and deep character development are one thing, but for pure action there’s no game more anticipated than Titanfall. Coming from the individuals originally responsible for Call of Duty’s huge success, the first-person shooter will pit players on huge battlefields as both individual infantry and as pilots of gigantic and fearsome mechs robots. As an exclusive for the Xbox One, the game has the potential to tilt the next-generation console battle in Microsoft’s favour early – if it lives up to its hype, that is. (Developer: Respawn Entertainment). Can they turn the shooter genre on its ear once again? We’ll have to wait until early-2014 to find out.

    The Witcher 3

    Release Date: Q2 2014

CD Projekt Red and The Witcher series has shown the type of progress we wish we saw in all games. The developers seem to be getting better and better with each iteration, and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt looks like their best work yet.

The mature themes and branching storyline in The Witcher series, coupled with the better visuals, bigger game world, and refined gameplay make The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt one that’s definitely got us chomping at the bit to hear more about Geralt of Rivia’s next adventure.

    Metal Gear Solid V

    Release Date:March 18, 2014

Your next part in the Metal Gear Solid series will certainly get to 2014. Getting rid of its Playstation exclusivity, Metal Gear Solid V will certainly get there on all systems, in a multi-part offering. The 1st, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will certainly get there as a prologue, creating players for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Agony.

Prologue or perhaps certainly not, Kojima arranged this club actually excessive along with Metal Gear Solid IV within the Playstation 3. Always this innovator we’re thinking about discovering the location where the renowned video game titles author, Hideo Kojima, will take this series both when it comes to increasingly intricate storyline and also gameplay using the further electrical power under the hoods from the Xbox One and also PS4.

    Dark Souls 2

    Release Date: March 11, 2014

If there’s one reason to hold on to your PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360, it’s the return of From Software’s Dark Souls in 2014. The devilishly hard action-RPG will make its return in 2014, with Dark Souls 2.

Spawning from the PlayStation 3 exclusive, Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls won over many with it’s hard as nails, trial and error gameplay when it launched on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

From what we’ve seen and played, Dark Souls 2 will not be making things any easier on the player. Dark Souls 2 is slated for an early 2014 release on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.

    Infamous Second Son

    Release Date: March 21, 2014

InFamous Second Son catapulted to the top of many PlayStation fan’s wishlists when it was announced last February. Sucker Punch is clearly harnessing the power of the PlayStation 4 with some of the best visuals we’ve ever seen from a console title.

If the launch lineup of the PlayStation 4 has you holding off on purchasing the new console, Infamous Second Son’s spring release will probably have you rethinking that stance.

Sucker Punch hasn’t shared many details about what to expect from the gameplay behind Second Son, but as the holidays wind down and the marketing machine picks back up, expect more details soon.
