Mobile App Development with Its New Level

Due to the wide usage of the Internet and related Electronic devices, the platform for Applications are taking into a next level of thinking where mobile Apps are no longer remaining as Mobile Apps with us. Gone are the days when we only have a phone with the purpose of making calls and Texts, then came a time of Multimedia and other related things, the current one is considered to be most sophisticated device in the field of communication called Smartphones.

With the increasing usage of Apps and numerous technology aspects of Smartphones shown up a way to take it to the next level of Communication called wearable devices. Along with the advancement of Technologies and Apps, the mindset of people is getting improvised and broaden to the level of perceiving things which were unimagined once!

Now, using the Smartphones are not as flexible as it was once. Tech geeks and majority of the Smartphone users are very much anticipation for the next level of communications and its ways.

Mobile Apps were developed based on the platform and the nature of the devices and Companies manufacturing it. Because, the Apps developed for Android may not be supported in the devices manufactured by companies doesn’t provide devices for the same.

App developers should explore the ideas of taking the Apps work to the next level by giving more important to voice-command feature. Developing Apps which is a voice – command oriented will be greatly welcomed as the Smartphones are going into the next level of wrist phones and Glasses in the place of phones. Devices with such nature of technologies will expect the Apps with more about Voice-command features in almost all the Apps. It should be developed in a way where more of Voice command should be used rather than Touch or Texting by using the device. This way, the usage of Smartphones will be reduced enormously in real time scenario and the Convenience of using the devices will take its transformation into the next level of easiness. On top of that, people with blindness will be benefited by it to an incredible level.

One Effective way to develop the Apps to fulfill the expectations of users is to do an in-depth research over what the User really wanted in real time from the users’ perspective. An Image below would give an idea as a user simply needs on his phone in terms of Apps.

Imagine a feature of Technology, where all you must do is, asking the phone to open up the Apps and send the messages to right contacts or asking App to download the songs and store it in your favorite folder. It is more of “do it on your own” voice command to phones.

Siri was one of the initiatives of such in the industry. Developers can see that an example to develop more Apps of that nature.

If the more sophisticated Apps are not developed in the near future as per the expectation and needs of the users, perhaps, it will create an option to adapt to other devices like Glasses and Wrist watches of Giant companies which will become the killer of Smartphones eventually.

The Bottom line is, Nature of Mobile Apps should explore its ways to something we have never experienced, but at the same time, the Human mind has perceived in the subconscious mind. Developers must be keen on developing Apps which will have features and usages beyond the level of user expectations to keep a stand for the longest time in the industry.

7 tips for improving your smartphone’s battery life

increase-battery-life1There are a few tricks which can help extend a smartphone’s battery – even tiny details, such as choosing a dark screensaver, not a bright one, can help. Here’s how to improve smartphone’s battery life. These are applicable for android, iPhone or any phone.

    Don’t charge it to full
“Battery memory” means that you should never run your battery empty – and avoid charging it to full. “You should try to go from around 40 per cent to around 80 per cent in one go, and then back down whenever possible,” says experts. “A bunch of tiny charges isn’t as bad as going from 100 down to zero all the time, but it’s not optimal either.”

    Force your phone to sleep
Your phone will last far longer if it goes into “deep sleep” whenever possible. If you have a lot of apps, some of them may be keeping your phone ‘awake’, just to communicate with home base. An Android app called Better Battery Stats will run down exactly what is waking up your phone, and enable you to turn it off. If you can keep your phone in ‘deep sleep’, it’ll last.

    Go dark
Turn the brightness settings down on your phone. Most of your phone’s battery drain is from running the screen. On any phone, set the screen to turn off after 30 seconds.

    Switch screensaver off
Don’t use animated screensavers. It even makes a difference to switch to a black, or dark, screen background so it doesn’t burn as much electricity when you’re in the menus.

Shut down apps you don’t need

Make sure your phone isn’t running apps in the background. On iPhone, you can check by double-tapping the Home button, then pressing ‘X’ to shut ones you don’t need. If you’re unsure, restart your phone to banish apps that might be running without you knowing.

Turn off Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi unless you’re using htem

Switch off wi-fi, Bluetooth, and GPS unless you need them. This will immediately add about a third to your battery life. Lots of people leave them on all the time. On both iPhone and Android, controls to do this are easily accessed via phone menu.

    Check your battery

If your phone gets hot while you use it, it could be that your battery is on its last legs. New ones are cheap on eBay, and if your phone’s old, you can also get ones with much higher storage than the ones it shipped with. Sorry, iPhone owners, this won’t work for you – you can’t take the back off.

  • MWC 2013: Intel’s Show off Clover Trail+ (Dual core processor)

Intel has announced an array of new mobile processors and an LTE solution at the Mobile World Congress 2013 in Barcelona.

The new Atom processor platform, codenamed Clover Trail+, is designed for smartphones, with long battery life in mind. There are three initial 32 nanometer dual-core processors to choose from, the Z2580, the Z2560, and the Z2520, with speeds at 2.0 GHz, 1.6 GHz, and 1.2 GHZ respectively, which is up to double the computing speed of previous Atom processors.

With many rivals already jumping to quad-core, Intel will soon follow with the Atom Z2760 processor, codenamed Bay Trail, the company’s first quad-core SoC. Intel is teaming up with Compal, ECS, Pegatron, Quanta and Wistron to help bring this chip to the market, in addition to its previous partnership with top computer makers like Samsung, Acer, Asus, Dell, Lenovo, LG, HP, and others. It will be available around Christmas of this year.

“Today’s announcements build on Intel’s growing device portfolio across a range of mobile market segments,” Hermann Eul, vice president and co-general manager of Intel’s Mobile and Communications Group, said in a statement. “In less than a year’s time we have worked closely with our customers to bring Intel-based smartphones to market in more than 20 countries around the world, and have also delivered an industry-leading low-power Atom SoC tablet solution running Windows 8, and shipping with leading OEM customers today.”

Intel officials said the new Atom platform offers twice the performance and up to three times the graphics abilities of its “Medfield” predecessor, all in a low-power envelope.  They said that Asus, Lenovo and ZTE are among the first OEMs to offer smartphones and tablets based on Clover Trail+. Lenovo at the MWC was showing off the K900 smartphone running on the new Atom platform.

The company is also jumping on the 4G LTE bandwagon with the unveiling of the XMM 7160 multimode-multiband LTE solution, which it claims is the smallest and lowest-power technology of its kind, making it ideal for smartphones, tablets and Ultrabooks. Its modem can support 15 LTE bands at the same time, more than any rival, and the RF architecture can run real time algorithms for envelope tracking and antenna tuning, which results in cost-efficient multiband configurations. This is due out in the first half of the year, in time for an expected major boom in 4G connectivity.

  • NVIDIA Tegra 4: Quad-core Cortex A15, 72 GPU cores, LTE support

The chip, which retains the same 4-plus-1 arrangement of its predecessor, arrives with a whopping 72 GeForce GPU cores — effectively offering six times the Tegra 3’s visual output and is based on the 28nm process. It also is the first quad-core processor with Cortex A15 cores on-board, and offers compatibility with LTE networks through an optional chip. NVIDIA claims this piece of silicon is the world’s fastest mobile processor, and showed a demonstration in which a Tegra 4 went head-to-head against a Nexus 10 in loading websites (you can guess which one won).

The Tegra 4 also introduces new computational photography architecture, which adds a new engine to drive the image processing and significantly improve the amount of time it takes to calculate the necessary mathematics 10 times faster than current platforms. To show off its power, NVIDIA demonstrated HDR rendering on live video. The chip is also capable of implementing HDR in burst shots and with LED flash. The idea, NVIDIA says, is to eventually make our mobile cameras more powerful than DSLRs, and this is certainly a step in the right direction.

The Tegra 4 will also enable 4K ultra high-definition video support, as well as PRISM 2 display tech that claims to reduce the power used by the backlight. Doing so will result in a 45 percent decrease in power consumption when compared to Tegra 3.

Announced alongside the Tegra 4 was the i500 Soft Modem, which is essentially a reprogrammable baseband solution that is capable of utilizing a wide variety of networks. The chip, which is an optional addendum to the Tegra 4 platform to enable LTE support, is able to process 1.2 trillion operations per second and is 40 percent the size of a conventional baseband chip.
